The role of a school counselor is to work to provide all students the best possible tools, resources, supports and opportunities that will enable them to to learn, grow, develop, and succeed in school and beyond. Counselors collaborate with all stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure students' academic development, social and emotional development, and college and career readiness. Counselors evaluate and analyze data to ensure program effectiveness and make adjustments where necessary.
